Details

You can ride all year long with Specialized's Defroster MTB Shoes! They're waterproof and feature 400-gram insulation throughout, a high cut and insulated toes to keep you dry, warm and comfortable. Plus, they boast stiff composite soles for pedaling efficiency, Specialized's thermal-fleece lined Body Geometry footbeds for awesome ergonomics, Boa closures for customizing the fit and feel, and molded lugs for top-notch traction. There are even reflective accents for safety!

Boa Lacing System

In lieu of standard Velcro straps, these shoes use the innovative Boa lacing system. The micro-adjustable Boa dials and wire laces evenly distribute pressure for a custom fit, maximum comfort, excellent pedaling efficiency and even hot-spot prevention. Plus, the dials are easy to use and rebuildable, too.

Specialized Men's Shoe Sizing Chart

This manufacturer's chart helps you check the fit (may show unavailable, and/or not all sizes).

In order to mount your pedal cleats to your shoes, they must have matching bolt patterns (pedals come with cleats, shoes come without). There are three configurations (diagram) used on cycling shoes, SPD-R, Look/SPD-SL and SPD. Road shoes feature one, two or even all three of these. Mountain-bike shoes usually use the SPD pattern. If you're unsure what bolt pattern your equipment uses, please contact us. We're here to help!

Warm shoes, but will make your ankle bleed.

Comments:

Warm, waterproof shoes. But for some reason Specialized left out a liner, and has protruding inner seams that rubbed my ankles raw, even with thick wool socks. I had to add multiple pads/ moleskin pieces to make these shoes usable, but still have a pressure point.

    Comments:

I'm a semi-professional cyclist. Whenever the weather dips under 50 my feet end up going numb on the rides. I would put warmers, put on shoe covers, and I had enough. I decided to invest in these bad boys. they are amazing. my feet don't go numb, and they are completely waterproof/windproof. AMAZING
