Surly's Stainless Steel Chainrings last longer than their aluminum brethern because the 304 grade metal they use is 35% stronger. The rings aren't pinned or ramped so when one side starts to wear you can flip it around and pedal some more! They work great with singlespeed, fixed, and 1x9 applications.

BSA is another way of stating English threading. The initialization comes from Birmingham Small Arms, which made bicycles. English threading on road bikes mean a 68mm wide, 34mm inside diameter shell with reverse threading on the drive side. It's the most common threaded standard employed today. This kit works with 24mm diameter cranks, found on cranks from Shimano, FSA, Rotor, and others. Choose between two bearings for the cups. Standard Bearings have low drag thanks to hardened-steel races and our Ceramic balls. Coated Bearings have those same balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag. 24mm spindles easily fit through the shell and allow for large bearings to be employed in the outside cups. The BB30 bottom bracket allows you to pair 30mm spindle cranks to 42mm inner diameter bottom bracket shells.
